Calcutta

A Calcutta auction is a lottery scheme associated with a competitive event in which the competitors are sold by auction to the public in attendance. The purchaser(s) of the winning competitor share a predetermined percentage of the proceeds of the sale.

Calcutta auctions are usually held in conjunction with curling bonspiels, consequently we licence most of our Calcutta auctions in January and February. Calcutta auctions have also been licensed to be held in conjunction with rodeos, goose shoots, etc...
