MGCC Orders

Orders may be issued by the Executive Director when there is an irregularity in the operation of a lottery scheme or if there is a breach of the Act, the regulation, a responsible gaming policy, or the terms and conditions of a licence, registration or technical integrity approval.  The Order may direct prompt corrective action, cancellation or suspension of a license or registration or a remedy in the case of a patron dispute.  While such measures are rare, the issuance of an order is critical to ensuring that gaming activities are conducted honestly, with integrity and in the public interest.  The MGCC posts all current orders on its website (see below) and at its offices at 800-215 Garry Street in Winnipeg.

The Gaming Control Act permits appeals of orders issued by the Executive Director.  Please see Appeals for information about filing an appeal and the hearing process triggered by an appeal under the Act.
